Sponsor Adopted Child

There are two procedures you need to follow when adopting children from another country including the adoption process as well as the process of obtaining an immigration visa.

The process of immigration includes two components:

• the application to be sponsored the sponsorship application
• the application to obtain permanent residence to the child.

Once your child is in Canada as permanent resident You can then request citizenship on their behalf. But, the adoption has to be approved prior to the child being granted citizenship.
